Avelle: Hair Brand Launch Site
A product-first website for Avelle, the new brand from Tyler hair stylist Coy Simmons, built to showcase a hair line and send clients to booking.
Status: Launching January 2027
The challenge
Coy Simmons is a hair stylist in Tyler, Texas, and he is changing his company name to Avelle as he adds a hair line and other products. His clients already book at coysimmons.com, so the new site could not replace that. It had to introduce a product brand and still hand visitors to booking.
What I did
- Separated the jobs: the Avelle site is for products, and it links to coysimmons.com for appointments.
- Organized the hair line by texture, using the client’s own descriptions: Straight, Body wave, Deep wave, Burmese curl and Kinky straight.
- Placed founder photos on brand pages and product photos on hair pages, with placeholder imagery until his own photos are captured.
- Set a clear launch placeholder for January 2027 so the site is ready to go live when the line is.
- Included his Tyler showroom so local customers know where to find him.
Why it matters
A rebrand can confuse existing customers. Keeping booking where clients already know it, and giving the new products their own home, protects the relationship while the brand grows.
