About Me

Where Strategy Meets
Human Performance

I’m Meshayla Kemp — enterprise learning executive, AI integration lead, and Woman-Owned business founder with over a decade of building high-impact learning infrastructure for Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, utility enterprises, and K–12 education systems.

My work sits at the convergence of instructional design, organizational change management, and generative AI — a combination that lets me translate complex technical systems into measurable workforce readiness while accelerating delivery cycles through intelligent automation. The MBA and M.Ed. were a deliberate pairing: the business fluency to speak to executive stakeholders, and the instructional expertise to design learning that changes behavior.

I am the Founder and Managing Principal of Kemp Advisory Group, LLC — a woman-owned strategic consulting firm headquartered in Tyler, Texas, serving clients nationwide across utilities, government, corporate enterprise, and education.

Born to Teach.
Built to Lead.

I can’t recall a time I wasn’t teaching someone something. Long before enterprise contracts and graduate degrees, I was setting up classrooms in my grandparents’ living room every Sunday after church — assigning seats, passing out pencils, genuinely believing that helping someone understand something was the most worthwhile thing a person could do.

That little girl never left. She just grew up and found bigger classrooms. The drive is exactly the same: find the best way to reach someone, build their confidence, and watch them grow.

to be a teacher.”

After Church at Grandma’s—
She Made a Classroom

That little girl with the bow in her hair wasn’t waiting for a classroom. She made one. Every Sunday after church, while the adults gathered and the food was laid out at her grandmother’s house, she was in the other room — worksheets already copied, seats already assigned, lesson already planned. Her cousins were her students whether they knew it or not.

There was no curriculum standard, no LMS, no SME to interview. Just a little girl who couldn’t not teach. She understood instinctively what takes most instructional designers years to learn: that learning is most powerful when it meets people exactly where they are — even if where they are is a grandmother’s living room on a Sunday afternoon.

She never stopped. The worksheets became curriculum plans. The cousins became enterprise audiences. The living room became boardrooms, training sessions, and government classrooms across the country. But the drive — that irresistible pull toward helping someone understand something — has never changed.

Faith & Foundation

Grounded in
Something Greater

My faith is not separate from my work — it is my work. Deeply rooted in my Christian faith, I carry the belief that God is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above anything I could ever imagine. Life has brought real challenges — but I always return to one truth: I know who I am, and I know Whose I am. My family and I attend church together, and giving back to the community around us is part of how we live that out.

I bring that same principle to every learning engagement. New technology, new processes, new curriculum can feel overwhelming — but with the right mindset and support, anything is learnable.

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Philippians 4:13

“Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think…”

My Why

They Are My Why

I’m a first-generation college graduate, and I keep chasing opportunities that seem out of reach. Every door that opened was God’s grace and the prayers of those who came before me.

I’m in rooms my forefathers only dreamed of, so I don’t take my seat lightly. I’m here to hold the door open for others, because the best way to lead is by example.

I pray my children meet no limits, and that they always keep God first and extend a hand to help and give back.

It all begins with mindset and heart. From there grows the fruit of your tree.

Matthew 7:17 — “Every good tree bears good fruit.”

What fruit is your tree bearing?

Tap a fruit to reflect.
  • What is growing in your life right now that you are proud of?
  • Whose life has your kindness helped grow?
  • What seed did someone plant in you that you can plant in someone else?
  • What would you try if you knew God had already made a way?
  • What mindset do you need to let go of so something better can grow?
  • Who is watching you, and what are they learning about what is possible?
Community & Purpose

Building Wealth That Lasts Generations

I love giving back to my community, and I’m committed to promoting generational wealth in low-income and economically disadvantaged communities. That means providing new skillsets and tools to people who never knew they existed, and teaching how to use them.

Commitment to DEI

Learning Belongs to Everyone.
I Know This Firsthand.

As a Black woman entrepreneur navigating spaces not always designed with me in mind, my commitment to DEI is personal first. I am neurodivergent — and my ADHD is my superpower. My brain sees the full picture and every tiny piece within it simultaneously.

I can walk into any curriculum, training program, or OCM engagement and instantly identify what’s missing, what’s misaligned, and what will become a blocker before it surfaces. My ADHD doesn’t get in the way of the work. It’s the reason the work is exceptional.
